The Nyale Institute for Sexual and Reproductive Health Governance is a Malawian NGO established in 2013. We are committed to promoting sexual and reproductive justice by empowering individuals, supporting grassroots communities, and advocating for equality. With a focus on the most vulnerable, we strive to create a society where every person can enjoy their sexual and reproductive rights freely and equitably.
Our Story
Established in 2013, Nyale Institute takes its name from the vernacular word “Nyale,” meaning “lamp”—a symbol of illumination and hope. Over the years, we have become a trusted voice in advancing sexual and reproductive justice. Guided by our mission, we empower communities, advocate for equitable rights, and strive to create a society where every individual can thrive without fear or discrimination.
