Nyale Institute for Sexual and Reproductive Health Governance has commenced a week-long series of activities in Mulanje District under the Mwana Wa Mzako Ngwako Yemwe Campaign aimed at strengthening youth leadership and advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).
The activities include a five-day training on the Chichewa version of the SRHR Advocacy Manual, equipping young people with advocacy, communication, and community mobilisation skills to champion SRHR in their communities.
The programme will also feature a stakeholder review and dissemination meeting to review the progress of Nyale Institute’s interventions and share findings from the Comprehensive Abortion Care Research conducted in Mulanje District.
In addition, a community outreach event led by Senior Chief Chikumbu and the Girls’ Reproductive Justice Ambassador will engage community members in discussions on SRHR and promote collective action to support the health and wellbeing of girls and young people.
Through these activities, Nyale Institute seeks to empower young people, strengthen community engagement, and promote evidence-based approaches to advancing SRHR in Mulanje District.
