On 18th February, 2024, Nyale Institute for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (Nyale Institute) in collaboration with the Malawi Human Rights Commission (MHRC) and the Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR), hosted a dissemination meeting in Lilongwe to present findings from the Facility Assessment and Readiness Survey on Comprehensive Abortion Care. Supported by the Ministry of Health’s Reproductive Health Directorate (RHD), this initiative aimed to enhance reproductive health services in Malawi. The meeting brought together key stakeholders including government representatives, healthcare providers, and civil society organizations to share the survey’s findings and discuss opportunities for collaboration. Additionally, the event introduced the “Changing Laws, Changing Lives” project, implemented in partnership with CRR and backed by Global Affairs Canada (GAC), with the goal of securing government support for effective implementation.

Beyond the dissemination meeting, Nyale Institute plans to strengthen relationships with critical partners and government agencies.
